Cock

Cock

The cock’s on the housetop blowing his horn;
The bull’s in the barn a-threshing of corn;
The maids in the meadows are making of hay;
The ducks in the river are swimming away.

Cat

Cat

A cat came fiddling out of a barn,
With a pair of bagpipes under her arm.
She could sing nothing but “fiddle dee dee”,
The mouse has married the bumblebee.
Pipe, cat, dance, mouse,
We’ll have a wedding at our good house.

It’s Me

Its Me

I am a girl, eleven years of age
When someone irritates me
I am full of rage
I love to read books that are funny
And I buy them with my pocket money
But when I grow up I’ll become serious
And will not be furious
I would like to introduce the idea of charity
And lead the poor masses to prosperity
My mission would be to help the poor and needy
And tell the others not to be greedy
Never would I ever lie
And carrying out this mission
I would die.

School

School

Goodbye to school
A place which was so mega cool
I liked it very much
Just like chocolate munch
But today I learn t
To look back
I turned away
Oh how I still remember that day
I did not want to go
But ahead of me my whole life lay.

A Boy’s Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Over the river, and through the wood,
to Grandfather’s house we go;
the horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
through the white and drifted snow.

Over the river and through the wood,
to Grandfather’s house away!
We would not stop for doll or top,
for ’tis Thanksgiving Day.

Over the river and through the wood,
when Grandmother sees us come,
She will say, “o, dear, the children are here,
bring a pie for every one.”

Over the river and through the wood,
now Grandmother’s cap I spy!
Hurrah for the fun! Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!

Peace is a Necessity of Life

Peace

Peace

Peace is a necessity of life
Without peace no one can survive
Peace is love and love is peace
For it people beg and please
Peace is independence, rest and comfort
Without peace it’s hard to survive
Some people find peace in being alone
And some people just hate to mourn
They find peace in entertainment and fun
They find peace in the moon and the sun
Peace is needed everywhere
It can be spread through love and care
Peaceful night and peaceful day
Should always wait and always stay.
