Galaxy of Glittering Stars

Dimple Cheek
A dimple on your cheek,
You are gentle and meek.
A dimple on your chin,
You’ve a devil within.

Mouse
Once upon a time in my house
I saw a big fat mouse
I got really frightened and I screamed
When it looked at me,
Oh how worried it seemed
I shouted and said ‘Go away!’
But it said, it wanted to play!
I kicked and hit it with my broom
And then pushed it out of my room
As I was about to throw it out of the window
It trembled and said, ‘Please let me go!’
I let it go out of pity
I wished it were chased away by my kitty
But my dear kitty was not there
When it tried to enter my house again,
I gave it a scare
Said I, ‘If you try to come back,
I will give you a big, hard smack!’
It never came back to play
And was never seen after that day
So if in your house, you see a mouse,
Do what I did to keep it away.

Desert
Life is a vast desert
Covered with dust of pain
Where lineliness wanders
Like wind over the plains
Where one’s thirst never dies
In the endless wait of rain
That can wash away the sighs
And one’s long-lasting strain
Where tears water the barren land
And increase the fertility
To have a wonderful harvest
Of sufferings, pain and agony.

Cat
My cat is not so fat
She sleeps on a cozy mat
And she loves to catch lots of rats
I love her among all the cats
Her nose is a shade of pink
How cute she is, you can’t even think
Her eyes are as deep as the big blue sea
Which a simple cat’s eyes couldn’t be
Her hair is as soft as silk
And she is as white as milk
‘Meow’ from her is like music
My sweet little cat is just exclusive.

Dollar
A diller, a dollar,
A ten o’clock scholar,
What makes you come so soon?
You used to come at ten o’clock,
But now you come at noon.
