Galaxy of Glittering Stars

Farmer
A farmer went trotting upon his grey mare,
Bumpety, Bumpety, bump !
With his daughter behind so rosy and fair,
A raven cried, Croak ! and they went tumbling down,
Bumpety, bumpety, bump !
The mare broke her knees and the farmer his crown,
Lumpety, lumpety, lump !
The mischievous raven flew laughing away,
Bumpety, bumpety, bump !
And vowed he would serve them the same the next day,
Lumpety, lumpety, lump !

Raindrops
They sparkle in the sunlight
As they fall through the sky
They shimmer and glimmer
Oh, my! Oh, my!
They’re oh-so-beautiful!
And irresistible too
These raindrops are so pretty
Oh, yes, it’s true!
As clear as crystal
And as fresh as dew
All these little raindrops
Just for you!
They’re cool as a cucumber
They’re natural and bright
So catch them as they fall
And hold them tight!

Duck
A duck and a drake,
And a nice barley cake,
With a penny to pay the old baker;
A hop and a scotch
Is another notch,
Slitherum, slitherum, take her!

Chocolate
Chocolates are brown
As precious as a royal crown
Chocolates are yummy
And they go straight to our tummy
Chocolates are sweet
They are a big treat
The house of chocolates is Switzerland
That’s why it is called
‘The Chocolate Land’
Tobler, Galaxy branded
All such gifts are splendid
Chocolates please everyone
They make a great gift for everyone.

Remember Me
Remember me when I am gone
Remember me when you are alone
Remember me as the days pass
Remember me deep in your heart
As the sun sets and wind blows
Down in the valley
Sitting on a rock
Just remember me in your heart.

Flying Visit
I’m just looked in to tell you all babies,
There’s five of them all in one nest in yonder hawthorn tree.
I’m teaching them to sing, you know as yet one cannot sing.
But Speckle breast, I’m told will have a lovely voice one day.
I think I hear them calling me and so I must not stay,
I know you will not mind if I a flying visit pay.
Of course five baby birdies all one’s spare time occupy,
I’ll call again one day and tell you something more
Good-bye

April Day
The sky to-day is like a naughty child :
At first ’twas bright and gay, the sunshine smiled.
Then clouds so gray along the sky were piled,
It wept its tears away with sobbings wild.
And so all day it ever cried and smiled.
“What will it do next, pray?” asks a small child.
